Den nya notboken som kom ut i juli, "Tune Book for Ensembles", har sålt väldigt bra både här på sidan och efter mina kurser och konserter. Boken innehåller 18 låtar arrangerade för ensemble. 16 traditionella låtar och 2 nyskrivna. Nu finns alla inspelade arrangemang, melodier och förenklade noter att ladda ner här på hemsidan. We've just returned from sunny Australia. The tour started on april 1:st and ended yesterday. We started with a few days off in Sydney and then went on to National Folkmusic Festival in Canberra. Wonderful weather, wonderful atmosphere and fun concerts. The aussies were an amazing audience, and made us feel very appreciated at our concerts and workshops. During the days we listened to concerts and ate fantastic food from every corner of the world, and at night we played concerts or had jam sessions at "Session Bar". After National we continued via Sydney to Perth and Fairbridge Festival just outside Pinjarra. By then, we had gotten to know a lot of musicians, and the festival felt like an Australian version of our Swedish festival Ransäterstämman. :-) All the musicians lived in small cottages, went to each others concerts and jammed together at night. A wonderful atmosphere. We recieved a lot of positive feedback from the festival management, and were also honoured by being asked to play a tune at the final concert.

All in all, it was an amazing tour, and we hope to be able to come back many more times in the future.

Finally, MP3's new album "Dansa! Dansa!" is here! It was recorded in January 2011 at Mahogny Studios is being mixed by Sigge Krantz. The audience at Sunne danshus will be first to listen and dance to the new music, when we have our release concert there, February 11th. The album can already be ordered from the webshop. If You order before the release date, You will get the album to the lower release price (the exact discount price is not yet decided) and I will mail it on Feb 11th. The second release concert is at Stallet in Stockholm, Feb 24th. Velcome!

Happy New Year 2012!

After a wonderful start of the year, with two weeks vacation, I'm now back to work. Full speed ahead with the mixing of MP3's upcoming album "Dansa! Dansa!". If everything goes as we've planned, it will be released in february. Fun! NID's second album "NID DARKNESS" is mixed and ready, and will probably be released in may. Malin Foxdal Band's new album is being mixed, and will probably be released in the fall. Many fun things on the agenda. I'm teaching in France in february. MP3 goes on tour in Australia in april. Marin/Marin are nominated to a "Manifest Award" for the album "Småfolket". 

I've updated the list under "Concerts" now, so some of the events that take place in the beginning of the year are listed. I've also added some tracks on Bowing 9-s page. 

Right now, I'm wishing for some snow so we get some more light here way up in the dark north. I want to hear the crunchy sound under my soles when I walk my dog.
